Learning & Doing Will Create Progress

So how much is too much when it comes to Real Estate Investing Training and Education? Will you be successful if you don't read two books a month or attend at least one seminar a year?

The answer is you need as much or as little as YOU need! Every person is different. However, one trap I see a lot of wanna-be real estate investors make is before they'll "pull the trigger" and make their first real estate investment, they spend years reading every book or listening to every CD so they can be an "expert" before they make their first deal.

Let's face it, you will never know everything there is to know about any subject. Part of the fun of real estate investing is you learn something new every day. So does that mean you should spend months or years studying before doing your first deal? It depends. But if you ask most real estate investors, they will tell you that after they did their first deal, everything seemed to take off from there.

Training and Education are one more form of due diligence in real estate, but it can be overdone. There are many ways to learn about real estate while at the same time continuing to invest and getting actual practice instead of theoretical.

Seminars - Are they worth the huge expense, and where do I find good ones?

Internet - Why leave your house for training when you can sit in the comfort of your home and get tons of great training, usually for free!

Articles - You won't believe how much you can learn by reading the Real Estate Section of your Newspaper.

Get Moving - Step back from your computer, put down those books, and Let's Make a Deal!

Training and Education help you to feel more secure, but most people learn by doing, and that was never truer than in Real Estate Investing.
